The northern Upazilla of Tetulia in Panchagarh district is gripped by severe cold, which disrupts daily life and causes hardships for low-income workers.
On Wednesday at 6:00 am, the Weather Observation Center of Panchagarh recorded a temperature of 9.4°C, the lowest temperature in the district so far this year.
Jitendra Nath, Assistant Officer-in-Charge of Tetulia First Class Meteorological Office, said that for the past two days, Tetulia has felt extremely cold due to a mild cold wave. The lowest temperature recorded in Tetulia at 6 am on Wednesday was 9.4 degrees Celsius. Yesterday, at 9 am, the temperature was also recorded at 9.4 degrees Celsius. However, the temperature may drop further in the future.
