Dacoits loot gold ornaments

A gang of dacoits looted cash, gold ornaments and valuable goods worth about Tk 10 lakh from the house of Saiful Islam Mazid in Kornoghos village of Tarash upazila in Sirajganj district on Tuesday night.

Family sources said, a gang of dacoits numbering 10 to 12 entered into the house breaking the door and looted the mentioned valuables after tying the inmates’ hands and legs with the napkins and putting them at gun point.

Aslam Hossain, Officer in Charge of Tarash police station confirmed the matter to TDS and said, police visited the spot and the matter is being investigated. Necessary legal action would be taken after completion of the investigation.
