Seminar on Bangladesh’s Human Resources held in Osaka

Bangladesh Embassy in Japan in collaboration with Japan International Trainee and Skilled Worker Cooperation Organization (JITCO) organized a seminar titled ‘Bangladesh Seminar on Human Resources’ on 21 January 2025 in Osaka.

Nearly 40 Japanese companies and manpower recruiting organizations attended the event.

Bangladesh’s ambassador to Japan Md. Daud Ali welcomed all and thanked the Japanese government for continuous support and cooperation including in the human resources sector which has significantly enhanced over the years.

The ambassador stated that now is the time to focus on Human Resources as Bangladesh has a huge pool of skilled manpower while Japan has a growing demand of foreign workers. He assured all assistance in sending skilled manpower to Japan and develop a well-functioning system.

Ambassador Daud Ali urged all concerned to work in partnership for this purpose.

Md. Zoynal Abedin First Secretary (Labour) of Bangladesh Embassy gave a detailed presentation on human resources potential of Bangladesh. Senior Vice President of JITCO Ambassador Matsutomi Shigeo gave a presentation on the international labour market situation and the prospect of the future labour market in Japan.

Marketing Director of EWB International Ltd Masamune Fukui gave a presentation on their activities in Japan.

It is to be noted that after signing two MoCs in 2018 and 2019, the number of Bangladeshi workers in Japan increased significantly in the last 2 and half years with numbers of Bangladeshi in Japan increased from 18,000 to around 32,000.

The Seminar was attended by Bangladesh Embassy and JITCO officials.
