BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that the interim government led by Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus must not be allowed to fail. He warned that counter-revolutionary forces are lurking, but assured that unity will prevent them from succeeding.
He made these remarks at the publication event of “Droher Graffiti”, a book on the 2024 mass uprising, held at the National Press Club on Saturday.
Rizvi said: “A favourable environment for democracy has been created in the country. But India cannot accept this. The way their media is speaking in favour of Sheikh Hasina does not reflect the language of a democratic nation.”
The BNP leader highlighted the need for unity, saying: “Everyone must come together to fulfil the aspirations of revolution and democracy. Counter-revolutionary forces are always lurking, but we will not let that happen.”
He further added: “The fear of being disappeared for criticizing the government is now gone. We will criticize to ensure success, but we will not let this government fail.”
