Bangladeshi artistes are set to perform in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Passport to the World” cultural festival, an extension of the annual “Riyadh Season” initiated by the Saudi government in 2019. The event brings together diverse cultures through music, food, crafts, and workshops.

Held at Al Khobar Al Iskan Park, the festival began on April 9, featuring Sudan, India, the Philippines, and Bangladesh. Each country has been allocated four days to highlight its cultural heritage, with Bangladesh scheduled from April 30 to May 3.

The event will include craft exhibitions, traditional food stalls, children’s activities, workshops, and live concerts by Bangladeshi singers.

The concert lineup will commence on April 30 with performances by Kona, Akash Mahmud, Akter Riya, and DJ Safa. On May 1, Imran Mahmudul, Muhammad Milon, Ayasha Jebin Deepa, and DJ Safa will take the stage.

The highlight of the event is scheduled for May 2, when legendary rock musician James will headline the concert, joined by Beauty Khan, Akash Mahmud, Akter Riya, and DJ Safa.

The final day, May 3, will see performances by Mila, Arman Alif, Beauty Khan, and DJ Safa.

James previously performed at “Riyadh Season 2023”, drawing massive crowds at Al-Suwaidi Park. His return is highly anticipated among expatriate fans.

In a video message, Imran Mahmudul invited fans: “To all my Bangladeshi brothers and sisters in Saudi Arabia, I’ll see you at Al Iskan Park on May 1. We’ll sing, have fun, and create great memories from 4pm to 11pm.”

The festival is expected to attract large crowds from Dammam and nearby cities, celebrating Bangladeshi culture abroad.
