To make the observance of Hajj smooth and hassle-free, the government is set to launch a special mobile application based on modern technology for Hajj pilgrims this year. The app has been named ‘Labbayk’.
The new service will be inaugurated by Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus on Monday at 4 PM at his residence in Jamuna.
On the same day, Hajj prepaid cards and international roaming services on mobile phones will also be launched for the pilgrims.
This information was revealed on Sunday by a source in the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Mamun Al Faruque ,Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Religious Affairs stated that pilgrims often face various challenges during the holy Hajj. To resolve these issues and make the Hajj experience easier for Bangladeshis, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has taken the initiative to launch the ‘Labbayk’ app, along with prepaid cards and roaming services.
Through this app, pilgrims will be able to access their Hajj schedule, accommodation information such as the hotel name, address, distance, photos, videos, check-in and check-out dates. Family members will also be able to track their pilgrim’s location through the app.
