Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that it is a challenge to bring the prices of daily necessities within the purchasing power of common people. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave instructions on this in the first cabinet of the government. We are working accordingly.

He said this to reporters after a meeting with Pranay Kumar Verma, the Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka at his office in the Secretariat on Sunday.

Obaidul Quader said that when there is an obstacle in the work of the new government, we have to overcome it. If BNP gives any violent program here or does violence in the name of a general program, then we have to deal with it. Because we have to provide security to people’s lives and property.

Obaidul Quader said that all the dreams that BNP had so far have turned into nightmares. Gayeshwar Chandra Roy appeared yesterday after a long time on the run. I did not get an answer as to where he had been hiding for so long.

He said we have the honest courage to go through difficult times, to overcome challenges. We did it, we can do it in the future. We will fulfill the responsibility that we have taken under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
