An infant was killed and his parents were injured in a road accident at Kashemmorh under Jamuan Bridge western police station in Sirajganj district on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Al-Amin, 2, son of Moklesur Rahman of Singimari village in Dinajpur district.

Anarul Islam, Officer in Charge of Jamuna Bridge western police station said, the accident took place at the mentioned place, while a pickup-van collided with a covered-van leaving the kid dead on the spot and his father Moklesur Rahman and mother Atifa Akhtar Nupur injured.

The injured were admitted to Shaheed M Monsur Ali Medical College in Sirajganj town. The body of the victim was also sent to the same hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was lodged with the respective police station in this connection.
