Popular actor Nusraat Faria has been detained at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

On Sunday, immigration police detained her while she was on her way to Thailand, according to sources from the airport’s immigration police.

She is accused in an attempted murder case filed at Vatara police station in the capital during the 2024 Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

In the case, Nusraat Faria has been named as a suspect for allegedly funding the Awami League and taking a stance against the anti-discrimination movement.
