Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Nurul Amin and Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Ziaur Rahman discussed about several aspects of environment protection.
The speakers said that, protecting the forest resources and the environment is not the responsibility of the government alone; it is the responsibility of all of us. Public awareness, planting trees and proper management of natural resources are essential for environmental protection.
They also said, through such programs, awareness among the people about protecting the environment will increase and it will be possible to build a habitable world for the next generation.
It is to be mentioned that, World Environment Day 2025 basically calls for collective action to tackle plastic pollution as plastic pollution has permeated every corner of the planet—even in our bodies in the form of microplastics.
By drawing inspiration from nature and showcasing real-world solutions, the campaign encourages individuals, organizations, industries and governments to adopt sustainable practices that drive systemic change.
Officials of various government departments, teachers, students, politicians and socio-cultural personalities participated in the discussions.
