One of the most popular films in the history of Bangladeshi cinema, “Moina Moti”, directed by Kazi Zahir and starring Razzak and Kabori, still holds a special place in the hearts of audience. The song “Anek Shadher Moyna Amar Bandhon Kete Jay” from the film remains widely loved even today.

However, many viewers of the younger generation are unfamiliar with the film. To reintroduce the timeless story of Moina and Moti to contemporary audience, director Iqsan Rony has made a new television drama titled “Moina Motir Golpo”.

The script has been written by Farhad Hossain. Shooting of the project has already been completed at various locations in the capital’s Mohanagar area.

Lux Channel i Superstar Nilanjana Neela has played the role of Moina in the drama. Speaking about her experience, she said, “This is my first project under the direction of Iqsan Rony. Moina is a rape survivor, and portraying such a character was very challenging. However, Rony bhai made the journey easier. This is one of the most powerful characters of my acting career. I’m grateful and very hopeful about the project.”

Director Iqsan Rony said the drama will be aired on a satellite television channel soon.
