Jamalpur Correspondent:

Police on Tuesday recovered the body of an auto driver from a corn field in Islampur of Jamalpur district. The body was inside of a sack.

The deceased was identified as Jewel Sheikh, 30, son of Abu Hanif and Avijha Begum of the East Shyampur village in Melandah upazila of the district.

Family sources said that, the victim went to his professional work on Monday like previous period. But he did not return to home following night.

Since then, he went missing. It is suspected that, miscreants might have killed him and taken his auto-rickshaw away.

Locals found his body in the sack and informed the matter to police.

The officer-in-charge (OC) of Islampur police station, Kayyum Gazi, stated that it is initially suspected that he was murdered and his auto-rickshaw was stolen. The police recovered the body after receiving a call through 999.
