The bodies of two children, who went missing a day before at Jalalpur village under Enayetpur thana in Sirajganj district, were recovered on Sunday noon.

The victims were identified as Abu Bakkar, 4, son of Rubel Hossain and Yasin Hossain, 5, son of Yamin Hossain of Satbariya village in Shahzadpur upazila of Sirajganj district. The both were cousin.

Police and victims’ family suspected that, the duo drowned in the stagnated water, while they were playing.

Mamun Hossain, Uncle of the victim Abu Bakkar said, the victims went to visit their relative house in Jalalpur village from Satbariya in Shahzadpur upazila.

Abdur Razzaq, Officer in Charge (OC) of Enayetpur PS told The Daily Sky that, “On information, police reached to the spot and recovered the bodies from a water-body, stagnated nearby the house from rain. The bodies were sent to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. An Unnatural Death (UD) case was lodged with the Enayetpur PS in this connection.
