A Dhaka court has fixed July 9 to submit the investigation report in a case filed over the death of a Bangladesh Bank (BB) official in Mouchak Market area of the capital on January 10.

The probe submission report date in the case was fixed on May 20. However, the Ramna Model police could not submit the report. Therefore, Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sultan Sohag Uddin set July 9 for submitting the report in the case.

Sub Inspector (SI) Nizam Uddin Fakir of General Registration Branch of Ramna Model police station confirmed the news.

According to the case statement, Dipanwita Biswas was an assistant manager of Bangladesh Bank’s Sadarghat branch. On January 10, she was returning home on the office bus. She was walking on the footpath after getting down to Shantinagar.

Dipanwita was seriously injured after a brick fell on her head from an under-construction building when she came in front of Siddheswari Fakhruddin Party Center. The victim fell to the ground.

Locals took her to Sirajul Islam Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Tarun Kumar Biswas, the husband of Dipanwita Biswas, filed the case with Ramna Model police station on the same day. Unknown people have been accused in the case.
