Actress Rina Sunetra Kumar, popularly known as Sunetra in the ’90s film industry, has passed away.
Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association former general secretary Zayed Khan confirmed the news of her demise in a Facebook post on Friday.
Sunetra acted with a reputation in both the Dhallywood and Tollywood film industries.
Her acting journey started on the stage. Director Momtaz Ali brought her to the Dhallywood film industry where Sunetra’s debut film “Usila” was released in 1985.
In 1990, the film, “Palki” directed by Delwar Jahan Jhontu, brought her fame and since then, she never had to look back.
She acted a number of films, including “Bhai Bondhu,” “Bhul Bichar,” “Shajano Bagan,” “Bondhu Amar,” “Shimul Parul,” “Amar Shongshar,” and “Alal Dulal.”
