Desh TV Managing Director (MD) Arif Hasan has been placed on a two-day remand in a case filed over attempting to murder one Sajib.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahin Reza passed the order as police produced Arif, also the general secretary of Association of Television Channel Owners (ATCO), before the court and pleaded for three-day remand in the case.

Earlier, Arif Hasan was detained at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday night when he reportedly tried to leave the country, and was later showed arrested in the case.

According to the case documents, on July 19, Sajib took part in the anti-discrimination student movement in Uttara area. He was shot in front of the Scholastica School.

His father later filed the case with the Airport Police Station in this regard.
