DITF curtain arises tomorrow

The curtain of the 28th edition of the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) will arise tomorrow, Sunday (January 21). Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the fair at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center (BBCFEC) in Rupganj, Narayanganj district, near the capital Dhaka.

All the preparations for the fair are almost done. Last-minute work on stalls and pavilions is underway. Various organizations and institutions from several countries including Singapore, Indonesia, Korea, and India are participating in this year’s trade fair.

There will be shuttle bus services like last time for the convenience of traveling to the fair. BRTC buses will ply from Kuril Bishwa Road to the Exhibition Centre.

The fair will be open daily from 10 am to 9 pm, however, the fair will continue till 10 pm on weekends (Fridays and Saturdays).

This trade fair has been held in Dhaka since 1995. Besides domestic products, products from India, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Nepal are available every year at the international trade fair DITF.

In 2022, the venue of the fair was changed to Purbachal. The permanent address of the fair is now Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center (BBCFEC) in Purbachal.
