The journey of ‘Sirajganj District IP Television Journalists Forum’ has been started introducing a new committee, where Ashraful Islam Joy, Planning Editor of The Daily Sky and Weekly Jibon Barta, and District Correspondent of Rajdhani TV (an IP TV) selected as President and Jakir Hossain, District Correspondent of CNN Bangla (an IP TV) selected as General Secretary.

The committee of the forum was formed on Saturday through a meeting held at the Sky-View Restaurant in the town with Abdul Khaleque, Chalan Beel Correspondent of Rajdhani TV in the chair.

Among others, Abdul Khaleque, Chalan Beel Correspondent of Rajdhani TV selected as Vice-President, Abdul Alim, District Correspondent of Q-TV Bangla as Joint Secretary, Md. Dil, District Correspondent of Jagaran TV as Organizing Secretary, Sohel Rana, District Correspondent of Kazi TV as Finance Secretary, Shafiqul Islam Polash, Shahzadpur Upazila Correspondent of Rajdhani TV as Publicity Secretary, Sultan Mahmud, Raiganj Upazila Correspondent of Rajdhani TV as Sports and Cultural Secretary, Wasim Sheikh, Sirajganj Sadar Upazila Correspondent of Jagaroni TV as Social Welfare Secretary and Rubel Sarker, District Correspondent of Chanel 23 as Office Secretary, while Ashique Imran, Md. Hossain Ali (Chhottu) and Nupur Kumar Roy selected as Executive Member for the organization.

After formation of the new body, a training workshop was also held at the same venue with the participation of IP TV journalists, who work in the district for several years. Jakirul Islam Santu, former President of Sirajganj Press Club, and Editor and Publisher of The Daily Ajker Sirajganj, Golam Mostafa Jibon, Editor and Publisher of The Daily Sky (an English daily newspaper) and Weekly Jibon Barta, Nurul Islam Babu alias Babu Islam, Editor of The Daily Rangadesh, Ismail Hossain, Executive Editor of The Daily Sirajganj Protidin and Advocate Kaisar Ahmed Liton, President of Sirajganj District Lawyers Association attended the training workshop as trainers and mentors.
