Milton Samadder again on 4-day remand

A Dhaka court yesterday ordered a four-day remand to Milton Samadder, chairman of Child and Old Age Care Ashram, in the case of human trafficking in the capital’s Mirpur police station.
The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Shanta Akhter handed over this order after the hearing on Sunday.

Earlier, the police produced Milton Samadder in court after a three-day remand in the case of forgery of death certificates at Mirpur Model Police Station.
After that, the DB Police appealed for a 7-day remand along with showing him arrest in a human trafficking case. After the hearing, Milton Samadder was shown arrested and granted a 4-day remand petition.
SI Saiful Islam of the General Registration Branch of Mirpur Model Police Station confirmed this.
On May 2, the court granted a three-day remand to the accused Milton Samadder. On the night of May 1, DB Police arrested him in a raid in the capital’s Mirpur area. After that, three cases were filed against him at Mirpur Model Police Station.

On April 25, various allegations of fraud against Milton Samadder were highlighted in the media. It is said that crores of takas are collected per month from more than 16 mobile banking numbers and three bank accounts.
Apart from this, many donate directly to his organization. However, Milton misused that money. Apart from this, the police are also investigating allegations of forging death certificates, human trafficking, selling organs of children and the elders.
