A brief dance clip by Bollywood star Nora Fatehi has given renewed attention to the Bengali song ‘Mehendi’, sung by Kona and Nish, just days after its official release.

The video, shared on Instagram by composer Sanjay, shows Fatehi dancing in a relaxed, playful mood to the song’s rhythm alongside him. Captioned “Mehendi in her hand”, the post quickly drew interest from fans, collecting more than 10,000 reactions within 20 hours. Fatehi herself responded in the comments with a heart emoji.

Viewers praised the performance, with many commenting on how refreshing it was to see the popular dancer move to a Bengali track. The clip has since circulated widely, introducing the song to audiences beyond its original fan base.

Mehendi was released on December 5 by production house Kinetic Music. The music video features Kona, Nish, Sanjay, Sunehra Tasnim and several others in a colourful, celebratory setting.

Within a week and a half of its release, the song’s video has crossed 4.2 million views on Kinetic Music’s YouTube channel and continues to attract strong engagement, with hundreds of comments from listeners.
