A preparatory meeting on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day was held at the conference room of Raiganj upazila headquarters in Sirajganj district on Tuesday.

The programme was presided over by Md. Humayun Kabir, UNO of Raiganj upazila, while former Upazila BNP President Shamsul Islam, Raiganj Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Md. Ali Mortuza, former General Secretary of Salanga Thana BNP Abdul Alim Sarkar, former Mayor of Raiganj Municipality Mosharraf Hossain Akand, student representative of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement’s Raiganj Upazila unit Riyad, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Raiganj Police Station Asaduzzaman Asad among others were also present in the event.

Various issues were discussed in the meeting to celebrate International Mother Language Day.
