Young producer Masudul Mahmud Ruhan is no more. Ruhan’s hanging body was recovered from his room around 11 pm.
His body was found hanging with a fan in a house in Mohammadpur the capital on Wednesday night. This information was confirmed by another producer Shyamal Shishir.
Ruhan has produced the popular film ‘Redram’ which streaming online platform Chorki. Apart from this, he is the executive producer of popular drama series like ‘Punorjonmo’, ‘Champa House’, ‘Shuklapakkha’, ‘The Silence’, ‘Ararat’. Ruhan has produced most of director Vicky Zaheed’s works. His colleagues are speechless at his death. They are expressing grief on social media.
Ruhan was married in personal life. He got married in 2020. But recently he divorced his wife. According to close people, Ruhan has been suffering from depression since then. The sub-inspector (SI) of Hazaribagh police station Shaon Kumar Biswas, who recovered the body, told the media that Ruhan divorced his wife a month ago. However, he started living in the East Rayerbazar for the past two months.
He used to travel to different parts of the country due to various shootings of films. When he returned to Dhaka, he used to stay in that house. His roommate returned to the room around 11 pm on Wednesday and found Ruhan hanging with a fan. He immediately called the people around. After receiving the news, the body was recovered at night.
Incidentally, Masudul Mahmud Ruhan’s house is in Rangpur. He studied at the Police Lines School and College there. He was involved in production as well as direction.
