The Nuhash Humayun-directed web series “Pett Kata Shaw” was released in 2022 with four   stories. Nuhash Humayun earned huge acclamation for telling some traditional horror stories through the episodes “Ai Building E Meye Nishedh”, “Misthi Kichhu”, “Loke Bole” and “Nishir Dak”.

Due to audience demand, OTT platform Chorki has planned to bring the second season of “Pett Kata Shaw”. Earlier, the official announcement of the second season was made in April 2024. After the waiting, the teaser of the second season was released. The teaser came on Chorki’s verified Facebook page on Tuesday night.

The second season has been named “Dui Shaw”. Like previous season, the second season will also have four stories. The stories of the upcoming series, which are in the fantasy, horror, and mystery genres, were written by Nuhash Humayun and his mother Gultekin Khan. Poet Gultekin wrote a story for a series for the first time.

Nuhash Humayun has worked on some common topics in the second season as well. The stories have supernatural and psychological themes. However, this time he has added some questions to these. Nuhash said, “Going beyond folklore and superstition, ‘Dui Shaw’ has raised some questions about the horrors of Bangladesh and modern times.”

“Social fear has become bigger than the fear of ghosts in the country or abroad. These fears have haunted people for many years. In each episode of second season of ‘Pett Kata Shaw’ I have tried to find that dark side of the psyche.”

According to OTT platform Chorki, the artistes’ name and release date of the second season will be announced soon.

It may be mentioned that, Actors Afzal Hossain, Chanchal Chowdhury, Sohel Mondol, Shirin Akter Shila, Nawshaba Ahmed and Novera Rahman played important roles in the series “Pett Kata Shaw”.
