Entertainment Desk:
Bangladeshi actor Afsana Mimi will be seen opposite noted Indian actor Mithun Chakraborty in a film. Indian National Award-winning filmmaker Manas Mukul Pal is making the project based on Bangladeshi legendary novelist Humayun Ahmed’s novel. According to Kolkata’s media Anandabazar, Manas Mukul Pal will travel to Bangladesh soon to research and review the locations referenced in the novel. The director will also meet Afsana Mimi and talk about the film.
The film “Sahaj Paather Gappo” gave Manas Mukul Pal the title of a different genre director in the Bengali entertainment world. According to the director, he needs to visit some regions of Bangladesh for his new project. He is also expected to meet Afsana Mimi during his trip. Mimi caught Pal’s attention after her performance in Tanvir Mokammel’s “Chitra Nodir Pare”.
Bangladeshi heroine Rozina had previously acted opposite Mithun in the film “Annay Abichar” directed by Shakti Samanta. The movie was made as a joint production of the two Bengals.
Is Manas Mukul Pal’s new project a joint production? In response to the question, the director said, “Talks are going on with multiple production companies. The matter has not been decided yet.”
