Mehazabien Chowdhury is a popular actor in all mediums – drama, TVC, digital media, and even OTT platforms. The talented artiste has been entertaining the audience for 15 years. Various characters have brought her audience’s recognition. There was one imperfection to her career. This actor has never been seen in a movie. That imperfection is going to be removed. Mehazabien is coming to the silver screen for the first time. Her movie “Priyo Maloti” is going to be released soon.

The movie is jointly produced by “Frame per Second” and the OTT platform Chorki. The official announcement of the movie’s release came at 11:00am on Thursday by Chorki’s verified Facebook page. “The wait is over, after the International Film Festival, your “Priyo Maloti” is coming to you. The Shankh Dasgupta-directed movie will be released in theatres soon”, the post reads.

According to the sources, the film will be released this month but the producers have yet to announce the release date for the movie.

Mehazabien Chowdhury got emotional while talking about the release of her movie for the first time in the country’s theaters. She remembered the beginning of her career.

The actor said, “The audience is always with me. The viewers have accepted and loved almost all the stories and characters. Only because of their love, I have come to this position. I believe that the audience will also come to the theatres to watch my films”.

In the meantime, the film has been screened at the Cairo International Film Festival and the International Film Festival of India. “Priyo Maloti”, which was officially selected at both prestigious festivals, has received audience acclamation. The film, made in a completely domestic context, has been easily understood by foreign audiences.

Mehazabien said, “I’m happy to receive the praise from the international audience, but I’m waiting to show the film to the domestic audience. Their response is invaluable to me. I will be happiest if the domestic audience likes the film.”

Mehazabien has played the title role in the film. The audience will see her as a lower-middle-class fighter woman in the project. Actor Nader Chowdhury, Azad Abul Kalam, Shahjahan Samrat, Rizvi Riju and many others have also acted in it.
