Popular actor Afran Nisho-starrer new movie “Daagi” will be released in theatres on the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr. After about two years break, he is finally returning to the big screen. The artiste made the official announcement on Sunday as a special gift to his fans on his birthday.

Besides Nisho, actor Tama Mirza and Sunerah Binte Kamal will be seen in the Shihab Shaheen-directed movie.

“Daagi” is a story-based movie. It is basically about the journey of a hero’s redemption and atonement. Director Shihab Shaheen said, “I have tried to show the audience something new. The audience here has not seen this kind of story before. I have been working on this movie for the last two years.”

Similarly, Tama Mirza is going to return to the movie after a long hiatus. She said, “It is a mix of challenge and peace for me. Whether we can meet the expectations of the audience or not is a challenge, but on the other hand, it is a relief that we are able to return to a good production despite the delay. I really liked the story of Daagi.”
