Bangladesh Bank is releasing new bank notes of 10 and 20 taka in the market. These new notes will be issued on Thursday.
According to Bangladesh Bank sources, these notes signed by the new governor Abdur Rauf Talukdar will be available from tomorrow Thursday.
Saida Khanam, director of the Department of Communications and Publications of Bangladesh Bank confirmed this information on Wednesday.
He said that two new notes will be issued from Motijheel office of Bangladesh Bank on Thursday, which will be issued from other offices of Bangladesh Bank later.
The color, shape, design, and all security features of the newly printed notes will remain unchanged. Apart from the newly printed notes, other notes of 10 taka and 20 taka, which are currently in circulation, will also be in circulation as valid notes.
On July 12 this year, the new governor, Abdur Rauf Talukder, replaced the former governor, Fazle Kabir, and is serving as the 12th governor of the country.
