The bodies of two siblings were recovered from the Kumar River near Rasti and Thantoli area of Madaripur sadar upazila on Saturday noon.

The victims were identified as Kulsum Akhter, 11, daughter of Liton Matobbar of Tarmugoria village in the same upazila.

Police quoting victims’ family members said, the siblings went missing three days ago, while bathing in the Kumar river.

On Saturday noon, locals found their floating bodies in the river and informed the matter to police.

Later, police reached to the spot and recovered the bodies.
