A case has been filed against a man accused for sexually abusing a fourth-grade schoolgirl after luring her with Tk 100 in Sirajganj’s Belkuchi upazila. The incident took place on Wednesday morning in Khidramatia Dakshinpara village of the upazila.
Later that afternoon, the victim’s father filed a case at Belkuchi Police Station. Jahurul Islam, Inspector (Investigation) of Belkuchi Police Station, confirmed the matter.
According to the case statement, the accused has been identified as Baten, son of the late Monirul Islam of the same village.
The case details reveal that the victim, a fourth-grader at a local government primary school, was returning home from a nearby grocery store in the morning. On her way back, Baten lured her with Tk 100  and took her to a nearby grass field, where he tried to sexually abusing her. Hearing her screams, local residents rushed to the scene, causing Baten to flee.
Jahurul Islam, Inspector (Investigation) of Belkuchi Police Station, stated that the girl’s father filed the case following the incident. The accused, Baten, is currently absconding, and police efforts are ongoing to arrest him.
