Students of Maulana Bhashani Degree College on Sunday formed a human chain in Sirajganj town demanding exemplary punishment to those, who instigate Suprity to commit suicide after being refused to marry.

Students gathered in front the college and formed human chain with the leadership of Sumona, Swadhin, Jehad, Alif, Swarna, Nirjona, Sakib, Mou and Nirob.

During the demonstration, they demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment to all of those, who instigate Suprity to commit suicide as she was refused by Utsab Kumar Kundu, son of Dulal Kundu of Muktar Para in Sirajganj town to marry her even after developing a physical affair.

Suprity committed suicide on Tuesday night at her house by hanging herself from a ceiling.

A case was lodged with Sirajganj Sadar police station in this connection. Utsab Kumar was arrested by police after filing the case, police said.
