Ziaul Faruq Apurba is currently basking on immense appreciation and admiration from audiences for two of his standout projects—the Indian film “Chaalchitro” and the Valentine’s Day special “Mon Duari”.

Premiering on the OTT platform Hoichoi on February 21, “Chaalchitro” presented Apurba in an unprecedented role, showcasing a performance that mesmerised audiences. Holding his ground alongside the seasoned Tota Roy Choudhury, he delivered a compelling act.

Sharing his experience of working with Apurba, Tota Roy Choudhury said in an interview, “He (Apurba) never made it feel like he was such a big star during the shoot. We were amazed to see his fans in Kolkata.”

Director Pratim D Gupta, speaking to Indian media outlet Onno Shomoy Prime, praised Apurba’s screen presence, saying, “Apurba has a charm similar to Shah Rukh’s. That’s why I wanted to use him in a highly dramatic way. I had watched many of his dramas before, and seeing them, I felt that I needed to capture that Shah Rukh-like charm in him.”

Alongside Apurba, “Chaalchitro” also stars Anirban Chakrabarti, Shantanu Maheshwari, Indrajit Basu, and Raima Sen in key roles.

In addition to the film, the special 1-hour-30-minute drama “Mon Duari”, released on Valentine’s Day, garnered immese appreciation from the audience. Directed by Jakaria Showkhin, the drama quickly gained traction, surpassing 10 million views within just four days and now exceeding 15 million views.

The drama “Mon Duari” has been well received by the audience due to its family-centric storyline, excellent cinematography, and captivating music. Ziaul Faruq Apurba and Nazneen Niha have paired up for the first time in this drama, and viewers have highly appreciated their performances. Many audience members have shared their thoughts on social media, praising the duo’s acting.

Apurba’s upcoming web film “How Sweet”, directed by Kajol Arefin Ome, is slated for release this Eid-ul-Fitr. In this project, he will be seen alongside Tasnia Farin.
