Mosharraf Karim, one of the most versatile actors in Bangladesh, is set to captivate audiences with two highly anticipated films, “Chokkor 302” and “Bildakini”, releasing separately during Eid-ul-Fitr and Pahela Baishakh.

The actor had completed work on both government-funded projects long ago, however, their release had remained uncertain. Now, with clearance secured, “Chokkor 302” is set to hit theatres this Eid, while “Bildakini” will make its debut on Pahela Baishakh.

Eid is once again shaping up to be a major season for film releases, with several big productions lined up for the occasion.

Shakib Khan’s “Borbaad”, Siam Ahmed’s “Jongli”, Afran Nisho’s “Daagi”, and Shajal-Nusraat Faria’s “Jinn 3” have already been announced. Now, joining the roster is Mosharraf Karim’s “Chokkor 302”.

Director Sharaf Ahmed Jibon has confirmed its Eid release, with an official announcement expected this week. Promotional campaigns are set to kick off from the 10th of Ramadan.

Sharaf Ahmed Jibon shared, “We had planned to release the film during a festival, so Eid seemed like the perfect time. We’ll formally announce the release within a few days, and from the 10th of Ramadan, our promotional campaign will kick off. We’ve lined up teasers, trailers, songs, and much more.”

In “Chokkor 302”, Mosharraf Karim plays the role of an investigator. The director mentioned that, alongside a murder investigation, the film unfolds a deeply human story, which revolves around the character of the investigator. Actress Rikita Nandini Shimu portrays Mosharraf’s wife in the film.

Shortly after Eid, Pahela Baishakh—the Bengali New Year—will bring more celebrations, and Mosharraf Karim will return to theatres once again with “Bildakini”.

Director Fazlul Kabir Tuhin has announced plans to release the film during the New Year celebrations. Earlier, the film had been slated for release several times, most recently on January 24. However, the release was postponed.

Tuhin explained, “Considering the country’s overall situation, we decided to delay the release back in January. We know that during Eid, cinema halls see a surge of viewers, with even those that were closed reopening for the occasion. We hope to carry that momentum into Pahela Baishakh with the release of ‘Bildakini’.”

“Bildakini” is based on the novel of the same name by Nuruddin Jahangir. The film brings to life a powerful narrative about feminine strength and the freedom of motherhood. Mosharraf Karim plays the role of Manik Majhi, alongside Parno Mittra from West Bengal, who stars in the lead role.
