The High Court (HC) has granted bail to former Narayanganj City Corporation mayor Salina Hayat Ivy for six months in five cases.

A HC bench comprising Justice KM Zahid Sarwar and Justice Sheikh Abu Taher approved her bail petitions on Thursday.

Senior lawyers Sara Hossain and Motahar Hossain Saju represented Ivy in court.

Ivy was arrested on 9 May last year and subsequently shown arrested in several cases. Although she initially secured bail in five cases from the High Court, the Appellate Division later suspended that order. She was then shown arrested in five more cases.
