An attempt to murder case has been filed in Faridpur against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and hundreds of others identified as leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) and its various wings.
Former road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former law minister Anisul Huq, Faridpur District AL President Shahim Haque and General Secretary Shah Md Ishtiaq Arif are among the 124 accused named in the case.
Some 300-400 unidentified people have also been accused in the case, Faridpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Md Abdul Jalil confirmed today (12 October).
He said the case was lodged by one Md Mujahidul Islam at Kotwali Police Station last Thursday (10 October). “We are investigating,” added SP Jalil.
