BSS, Khulna:

As part of the two-day countrywide sit-in demonstration programme demanding the trial mass killers, Khulna city and district units of BNP begins the first day programme in front of its party office at K D Ghosh Road and elsewhere in Khulna.

Chaired by city unit BNP convener S M Shafiqul Alam Mona, Khulna Divisional Assistant Secretary of BNP Joyanta Kumar Kundu, Information Affair Secretary Azizul Bari Helal, Convener of district unit BNP Amir Ezaz Khan, General Secretary of city unit BNP Shafiqul Alam Tuhin and other leaders of BNP and its front organizations, among others, spoke.

The leaders demanded immediate arrest of Sheikh Hasina, her cabinet members, parliament members of AL, officials of law enforcement agencies who were involved in mass killing during the anti-discrimination students’ movement across the country.

They urged the interim government to immediate release of all political leaders and activists who are landed in jail and withdrawal of all political false cases filed against them during last 15 years and 7 months during AL regime.

They also requested the BNP men and associate bodies to observe special prayers at mosques in memory of martyred who were killed during anti-discrimination student’s movement on August 16 and marking the birth day of BNP chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia on August 15.

Besides, thana and upazila units of BNP observed the programme at their respective offices including in front of Baitun Nur Jame mosque under Sonadanga unit BNP, Baikali Square under Khalishpur unit, Shaheed Minar premises under Daulatpur thana unit and Fulbarigate bus stand premises under Khanjahan Ali thana unit.
