The season of falling leaves has arrived, with dense fog beginning to settle. A hint of winter is now evident across various regions of Bangladesh.

In the coming days, both daytime and nighttime temperatures are expected to drop slightly, according to the three-day weather forecast by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

The BMD said that the seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending its trough to North Bay. A low pressure area is likely to form over Southeast Bay and adjoining area around Saturday.

The 72-hour forecast from Friday morning predicts that the weather across the country will remain dry, with temporary partly cloudy skies.

Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over northern part of the country and light to moderate fog may occur at places elsewhere over the country during late night till early morning. Temperatures during the day and night may decrease slightly.

For Saturday, the forecast suggests dry weather with partly cloudy skies across the country.

From late night to early morning, moderate to dense fog may form in some northern areas, and light to moderate fog in other places. Day and night temperatures are expected to drop slightly.

On Sunday, the weather is likely to remain dry with partly cloudy skies across the country. Light to moderate fog may occur in some areas from late night to early morning. Day and night temperatures are expected to decline slightly.

Additionally, there might be slight changes in the weather over the next five days.
