‘Nation’s two greatest achievements come from hands of AL’

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said that two achievements are the Greatest in the life of the Bengali nation. One is Bengali Freedom and the other is development. Both these achievements have come from the hands of the Awami League.

He said these after visiting the rallying place of Bangladesh Awami League’s founding anniversary at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Saturday (June 22).

Obaidul Quader said that the greatest achievement of Bengalees is Independence at the hands of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. And the greatest developments are happening under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. These two achievements have come together in 75 years of Awami League.

He said that the founding anniversary of Awami League will be celebrated all over the country. We are ready from central to grassroots. All preparations are over. We have already held a procession in a joyful atmosphere, many people took part there amid Eid festivities. Many newspapers wrote that the procession was 5 km long.

“We have zero tolerance against dishonest traders and corrupt people. During 1/11, we saw well-planned torture to politicians. However, politicians made this country independent. Politicians are developing this country,” said the Awami League General Secretary.

At this time, Awami League joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, organizational secretary BM Mozammel Haque, Mirza Azam, SM Kamal Hossain, office secretary Biplab Barua, health affairs secretary Dr. Rokeya Sultana, Cultural Affairs Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil and others were present.
