Entertainment Desk:
Ahmed Sharif and Rajib were two of the most popular villain actors in Bangla cinema. They acted together in many commercially successful films, including Keyamat Theke Keyamat, Den Mohor, Love, and Jiddi.
In an interview, Ahmed Sharif said that the stories of several films revolved around the two of them. Audiences were always captivated by their powerful voices and performances. Beyond the screen, the two shared a very strong personal bond.
Ahmed Sharif said, “Rajib and I acted together in many films. Some of the films were centered on the two of us. Viewers really enjoyed the fight scenes between us on screen. Rajib always observed how other artistes were performing. He was very conscious that his acting should never be weaker than that of his co-actors.”
He added, “Once, during the shooting of a film, I saw Rajib in the makeup room. But after my scene was shot, I noticed he was sitting quietly in one corner of the set. I called him and asked, ‘Why are you sitting here?’ He replied, ‘Brother, if I don’t know what kind of delivery you’re giving and how you’re acting, how can I stand beside you on screen?’”
It is worth mentioning that Rajib passed away from cancer on 14 November, 2004, at the age of 52. Meanwhile, Ahmed Sharif is currently not involved in any new films.
