Bangladesh national cricket team reached Hyderabad on Thursday to play the series-concluding third T20I against India at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Bangladesh earlier lost the two-match Test series against India while the hosts clinched the T20I series with one game in hand. They embarrassed Bangladesh with an 86-run defeat in the second T20I after winning the first match by seven wickets.

Bangladesh will be eager to end the series on a high after their disappointing performance in both Tests and T20Is so far which will also mark the end of Mahmudullah’s career in the shorter-format as he announced his retirement earlier ahead of the second T20I in Delhi.

“In Sha Allah, there will be a comeback (in the third T20I). We take to the field every match with this hope and definitely will be   better than the second match’s performance,”

Taskin told media after ending of the second game.

“We want to finish well because I don’t think we are this bad as a side, we are better than this. I hope the next match will be a competitive one,” he said, adding that they want to give a good send off to Mahmudullah

“Riyad bhai is a legendary player of Bangladesh. He is leaving, so it’s definitely a sad moment. But this is the reality. Everyone has to go. We will want to give him a nice send off,” he said.

Bangladesh’s T20I record against India seems vulnerable as they lost 15 out of 16 matches played between the two countries. The only win came in 2019 in Delhi.
