Bangladeshi film “Toofan,” starring Shakib Khan, is making its international debut. Shakib Khan portrays the character of a gangster in this action-packed production.
On Friday, ‘Toofan’ was released in 47 theaters including South City, Star Theatre, Lake Mall in West Bengal. Director Raihan Rafi has directed this movie under the production of Alpha Eye Studios in Dhaka.
Ever since the release of the movie on the holy Eid-ul-Azha in the theaters of the country, the audience has been eager to watch it. Shakib Khan is appearing now in front of the West Bengal audience after crossing the boundaries of Dhaka.
The film’s international distributor is India’s production and distribution company SVF; Digital partner Chorki.
Actor Shakib Khan, producer Shahriar Shakil, and director Raihan Rafi went to Kolkata on Wednesday to participate in the promotion of the movie. Anticipation is high, with industry experts predicting that “Toofan” could become a blockbuster in West Bengal and potentially break records in Bengali cinema. Producer Shakil said that after the release in West Bengal, they have plans to release Toofan all over India by dubbing in Hindi.
In a video message to the Indian audience, actress Mimi Chakraborty said, ‘Finally, Toofan is getting released in India. Go to the hall, enjoy the Toofan.’
Along with West Bengal, the toofan is also releasing in Singapore today. Earlier this movie was released on June 28 in USA and Canada. Among them, 22 theaters in 12 states of the United States, including two movie theaters in New York, flocked to watch the Toofan. On the day of release, the 10 halls were packed to the audience.
The film is being released in the US and Canada by Bioscope Films. Bioscope Films said Toofan will be screened in at least 40 US cities starting July 12.
In addition to Shakib Khan, the movie also stars Indian actress Mimi Chakraborty, along with other talented actors like Masuma Rahman Nabila, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Gazi Rakayet, and Chanchal Chowdhury.
