Six more children died with measles-like symptoms in the country in the last 24 hours till 8:00 am on Monday, September 21, as the contagious disease shows no sign of easing.

With this, the number of suspected measles deaths rose to 962, while the tally of laboratory-confirmed measles deaths remained unchanged at 101, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

During the period, DGHS recorded an additional 1,221 suspected measles cases and 84 confirmed cases, bringing the totals to 181,035 and 20,646, respectively, from March 15 to date.

The health directorate said it has been recording measles-related data since March 15.
