Six more people have died of dengue across Bangladesh in the last 24 hours, while 1,655 new patients have been hospitalised, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The latest deaths take the country’s dengue death toll to 190 this year, according to a press release issued today (21 September) by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the DGHS.

All six deaths reported in the latest 24-hour period occurred in Rajshahi Division, excluding the city corporation area.

Meanwhile, 1,428 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals during the same period, taking the total number of recoveries this year to 59,038.

The cumulative number of dengue cases reported across the country has reached 63,627 this year.
