The government has dismissed six police officers, including former Dhaka District Superintendent of Police (SP) Asaduzzaman, on charges of unauthorized absence from their workplace and absconding.

The information was disclosed in separate notifications issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday (September 21). The notifications were signed by Senior Secretary of the ministry, Monjur Morshed Chowdhury.

According to the notifications, the order comes into effect immediately.

The dismissed officers named in the separate notifications are: former SP Arifur Rahman Mondal, former Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Secretariat Security Rajib Das, former Additional DIG Mohammad Zaidul Alam, former ATU SP Mohammad Sanwar Hossain, former Additional SP Palash Ranjan Dey, and former Dhaka SP Asaduzzaman.
