The Government will bear all expenses including providing free treatment to the students who were hospitalized in government hospitals after suffering injuries during the anti-discrimination student movement.

The Health Services Division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed this in a notification on Saturday (August 17).

The notification states that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has already formed a committee to inquire about the casualties in the anti-discrimination student movement. The committee will hold a meeting tomorrow, Sunday (August 17), to determine the course of action.

In the notification, the Ministry of Health requested the private medical college hospitals, private hospitals and clinics not to “accept the medical bills” of the injured students in the anti-discrimination student movement.

It has also been informed that the government will bear all the bills of the students under treatment in these private hospitals if necessary.
