A prosecution team from the International Crimes Tribunal is visiting Narail and Jessore to investigate incidents of violence that occurred during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in July and August.
Prosecutor BM Sultan Mahmud confirmed the matter on Wednesday.
Reportedly, the team includes Prosecutor BM Sultan Mahmud, Deputy Assistant Director of the Investigation Wing Masud Parvez, and several other members.
The team is leading the investigation into the violence during the movement.
They departed Dhaka for Narail on Tuesday. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the team recorded statements from 30 witnesses and victims from Lohagara, Narail Sadar, and Naragati in Narail.
They also visited various sites and spoke with the families of martyrs.
During the visit, officers-in-charge (OC) of various police stations accompanied the team.
On Wednesday, the team was set to leave Narail for Jessore.
They are expected to return to Dhaka on Friday.
