Popular small-screen stars Ziaul Faruq Apurba and Afsana Ara Bindu, whose on-screen pairing once captivated audience, are set to reunite after a long hiatus. This time, however, the duo will not be seen in a television drama but in a new web series.

The series titled “Headline” will be directed by Saleh Sobhan Anim and scripted by Syed Ahmed Shawki. The project is being produced for the OTT platform Hoichoi.

Alongside Apurba and Bindu, actor Yash Rohan is also expected to play an importan role in the series. Sources say Apurba is scheduled to return to the country from the United States later this month, after which he will begin shooting. In the series, he will portray the role of a journalist, while the storyline is expected to unfold as a political thriller.

Director Saleh Sobhan Anim, known for his work as an editor on several acclaimed OTT projects, remained cautious when speaking about the “Headline”. “We have discussed the project with many artistes. We usually talk to several individuals before finalising a project. Nothing is final yet,” he told the media.

“The script is still in development and will take about another month. Once everything is finalised and we receive the signal, we will begin shooting”, he added.

Despite the project still being in its early stages, news of Apurba and Bindu’s reunion has already created considerable excitement in the showbiz arena.
