Political Assistant to the Prime Minister Rashed Khan stated that remanding Nasiruddin Patwary, Chief Coordinator of the National Citizen Party (NCP), would reveal those involved in recent bus arsons and cocktail attacks.

He claimed on Tuesday (September 22) that remanding the NCP leader under arrest would uncover the masterminds behind the recent cocktail blasts and arson attacks targeting public transport.

Rashed Khan accused the NCP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and the Awami League of jointly carrying out attacks on buses and trains to destabilize the country.

He noted that the ruling Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is currently navigating dual political challenges posed by what he termed the extremist opposition of Jamaat-NCP and the fascist opposition of the Awami League.

Referring to the 11-party alliance’s announced long march, the Prime Minister’s assistant remarked that launching such programs against a seven-month-old administration is unusual, adding that the alliance plans to align its field demonstrations with the Awami League starting December.

Defending the recent fuel price hike, he explained that the government was compelled to adjust prices due to the global energy crisis, adding that the country’s energy and power crisis will be resolved within two years through ongoing government initiatives.
