Desk Report:

After being closed for an hour due to a power problem, the metro rail movement is resumed. Metrorail resumed movement around 9:30 am on Sunday.

It is known that shortly before 7 am, a foil paper got stuck on the Metrorail wire when it started raining with a sudden gust of wind. And because of this Metrorail movement was suspended. Later, the foil paper was removed from it and metro movement was normal again.

Incidentally, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the metro rail authority has increased the train schedule by one hour from last March 27. Now Metrorail is running till 10:14 PM. As per the new schedule, every day Metrorail departs from Uttara North End at 7:10 AM for Motijheel. On the other hand, the first train leaves from Motijheel end at 7:30 am.

Also, in the new schedule, the last train from the capital Motijheel leaves at 9:40 PM instead of 8:40 PM. On the other hand, the last train from Uttara North is scheduled to leave at 9 PM. The new schedule will continue until the day before Eid-ul-Fitr.
