Students of SB Railway Colony School and College in Sirajganj town on Tuesday staged demonstrations including rally and procession demanding resignation of its Principal Ashraful Islam intensifying allegation of corruptions and anomalies against him.

Several hundreds of students held a rally at the college ground demanding his resignation. Then, the students brought out a procession that marched the main streets in the town. The procession was concluded at the premises of Deputy Commissioner’s office.  The demonstrators also submitted a memorandum to the DC demanding rapid action against Ashraful’s corruption, irregularities and mismanagement.

At the light of the students’ allegation, the Deputy Commissioner assured them to take immediate action throughout an investigation.

Earlier on Monday, Khadiza Parvin, the then Acting Principal of Sirajganj Police Lines School and College, was forced to resign from her post on the face of students movement.
