Entertainment Desk:
Afran Nisho has been spotted in a remote desert region of Kazakhstan, where preparations are underway for his upcoming film “Domm”. He was accompanied by director Redoan Rony, producer Shahriar Shakil, and several foreign crew members.
Chorki CEO and filmmaker Redoan Rony shared a series of photos from the location visit, with the caption: “The test for ‘Domm’ begins.” In one of the images, Nisho is seen sitting atop a rock, script in hand, surrounded by the vast desert landscape. Another photo captures Rony in discussion with international crew members alongside producer Shahriar Shakil, against the striking backdrop of Kazakhstan’s sunny terrain.
From the photos, it appears that the team is scouting locations and assessing potential challenges for the cast and crew.
“Domm” marks Redoan Rony’s return to direction after a long hiatus. Speaking about the project, he said: “I’m coming to make ‘Domm’ with all my strength.” The survival drama is inspired by true events.
Afran Nisho and Chanchal Chowdhury will lead the cast. Reflecting on his role, Nisho said: “The performance here demands many challenges, which inspired me. I haven’t seen this kind of film made in our country before.”
Chanchal Chowdhury added: “The story is extraordinary, very challenging. The audience will be amazed.”
The film’s lead female role is yet to be finalised.
Jointly produced by SVF Alpha–i Entertainment and Chorki, “Domm” is scheduled for release during Eid-ul-Fitr in 2026, with shooting set to begin soon.
